Accounts
An Account in StocksBoard usually represents a financial account where you hold investments. You might have multiple accounts such as a 401(k), IRA, brokerage account, or investor account.
Creating an Account
- Navigate to Accounts from the main menu
- Tap the
+button or theAdd Accountbutton - Enter the following information:
- Account Name: A descriptive name (e.g., "My Brokerage Account", "Roth IRA")
- Description (optional): Any other useful info about this account
- Account Type (optional): Categorize your account (Investment, CD or Cash)
- Registration (optional): Tax Free (ex. Roth IRA), Tax Deferred (IRA, 401(k))
- Institution (optional): The broker or bank, used for custom reporting
- Tap Save

Viewing Your Accounts
The Accounts page shows all your accounts with the attributes and metrics below:
- Account Name: The name you assigned
- P&L Day: Profit / loss for the last trading day (unrealized), in dollars and as a percentage
- Open P&L: Total profit / loss (unrealized), in dollars and as a percentage
- Value / Cost: The current value of the investments in the account and their original cost (adjusted cost base)
- Alloc / XIRR:
- The allocation of the investments in the account as a percentage of the total investments
- The annualized return for the investments in the account (eXtended Internal Rate of Return)
- Rlzd / %: The realized profit on any sold positions in this account, in dollars and as percentage, relative to ACB (adjusted cost base) at the time of the sale.
- Cash / Total:
- Any uninvested cash in this account
- The total value of the account (investments + cash)
Tap any account to see:
- Detailed list of all holdings in that account
- Option to add or remove holdings
- Option to edit account details
Editing an Account
- Go to Accounts
- Tap the account you want to edit
- Tap the Edit button (pencil icon)
- Update the account details
- Tap Save
Account Balance & Valuation
StocksBoard automatically calculates your account valuation by:
- Tracking your holdings (shares owned × current price)
- Accumulating any cash held in the account
- Showing net changes based on transactions
The total value is displayed prominently on the Accounts page.
Deleting an Account

Deleting an account will remove all associated transactions and holdings data.
This action is irreversible.
- Go to Accounts
- Tap the account you want to delete
- Tap the Delete button (trash icon)
- Confirm the deletion
Tips
- Use consistent naming conventions for your accounts to keep them organized
- Set the currency appropriately if you have accounts in different currencies
- Record your starting balance to get accurate return calculations
- If you have historical data, import it using the Import feature
